Hike along a rippling river through the lush, cool Qadisha Valley to visit the ancient rock cut monasteries situated on the steep, rocky cliffs.
Nature lovers must check out 1,000 year old Cedar trees at Arz Ar-Rab near Bcharre or visit the Tannourine Cedars Forest Nature Reserve. Another place that's a must see is Lebanons tallest mountain, Qornet Es Saouda, which is 3,090m tall.
Bird-watchers can take a boat to Palm Islands Nature Reserve. Some 300 species can be seen here during migratory seasons. Besides, you can catch a glimpse of endangered sea turtles, and other wildlife.
