The beauty of Mallorca is one of the most appreciated one over the world and it is also world's one of the most sought after real estate spot. The island is one of the largest of the Balearic islands that measures 3640 sq kms. The exotic beauty of the Mallorca has always attracted numerous tourists. The excellent coastal climate with sunshine all year around make it an ideal holiday destination for many.
Mallorca's has very well constructed roads and connectivity, that any one could reach any part of the island through a short and scenic drive. It boasts spectacular coastline, pine forests, rugged mountains that would take you breath away. The beautiful beaches, the gorgeous turquoise water and the wooden beach bars are a few more attractions in Mallorca.
Palma is a great city in Mallorca that has something for everyone. Te city has a good selection of museums and art galleries which exhibit works by both international as well as local artists. Here are a list of Palma museums:
- The Museu d'Art Espanyol Contemporani or Spanish Contemporary Art museum: This museum includes the work of Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí, and other 20th century Spanish artists.
- The Es Baluard: It is located in the southwest corner of the old Reniassance city wall. It includes the work by Cezanne, Picasso, Miró and Barceló, among others, along with temporary exhibitions.
- The Museu de Mallorca or Mallorca Museum: This museum captivates the history of Palma through the ages and displays wonderful archeological findings.
Mallorca also provides comfortable staying at luxurious establishments, as well as a great variety of cuisines. Many of Palma's most popular cafes, restaurants and bars are located around the city centre, especially in the side streets of the Passeig des Born and the Avinguda d'Antoni Maura. If you want to try the typical Mallorcan dishes in an authentic Spanish atmosphere, you should visit Genova. Genova is a little village just 15 minutes away from the city centre of Palma with many popular Mallorcan restaurants. |
