Don't tell me that you are sitting at your home but thinking about tomorrow's journey by plane. If you are doing so, then you are suffering from “FLIGHT PHOBIA” for sure. This all is happening to you because you are still not able to forget your stressful experience the last time you traveled by plane.
Go through this check list to make sure that this time you really have a stress free flight journey. - You are about to leave in half an hour and you are packing your bags now? Do you often get scolded like this when you go for a journey? Hmmm... make a point that you pack your bags at least a day before leaving. You know it always happens that your passport, or your favorite book or even your important papers tend to miss at the last minute of your packing. Always pack a day before and you find all your desired things waiting for you at the right place.'
- One of the important way is to meditate a bit before boarding your flight. It will help you to calm down your nerves and you will feel relaxed also.
- Always arrive at the airport in a relaxed state of mind. There is no worse way to start your journey towards airport if you are tucked in a traffic jam just a couple of miles from the airport and watching the time ticking every minute in your watch. So, to avoid it, leave early from your house because then you will arrive at the airport relaxed and very close to the check-in-line.
- Prepare yourself for the plane journey. If you often tend to feel dehydrated, then this time bring a bottle of water with you and sip it through out your journey.
- If like other people, you too suffer from motion sickness during your journey in plane, then take precautions before you board the flight. Take a pill to control your motion sickness before you get on the flight. But certain pills can make you feel drowsy, but that really works on long flights.
- I hope you remember that the last time you boarded the plane, you felt quite cold in the interiors. Didn't you?
- Some planes really get quite cold, so always keep a pullover or a jacket in your carry bag. Some airlines provide you with thin blankets but you should not count on them.
- When the plane is landed, make sure that you patiently wait for your turn to get off the plane. Do not push people otherwise it will increase your stress level again. Don not try to rush every thing as it will only increase your blood pressure and also you will not leave a very good impression on your fellow travelers.
- Okay, now you have arrived at your destination. Fine! Now, what will you do? No idea. You are lost at this unknown destination. So it is always advisable that before you travel, you should always check out the place on Internet. You can also pre plan your bus, taxi or train journey (or what ever is available at the destination spot) before you leave your home.
So now you are all set to board a plane without increasing your stress level at all! |
