The city of Zurich is one of the most amazing and heavenly tourist destinations on earth. It is the largest and one of the most celebrated cities of Switzerland. The city is very famous for its cleanliness and enjoys an amazing location on the edge of the very beautiful “Limmat River.”
The city is bestowed with a large, stunning lake, two rivers and beautiful tree covered hills that cuddle the city from all around.
Zurich is situated on the northern side of Switzerland and serves as a very popular travel destination for visitors from all around the globe. It has got an abundance of attractions to suit all kinds of preferences and tastes. Zurich has its own Airport, the Zurich International Airport, which is the largest in the country and makes traveling a very convenient & easy job for all travelers. The Airport is well connected with almost all the major attractions in the city and that is what makes the transport system extremely reliable for all passengers who are planning to head their way to (or from) Zurich. Apart from the amazing location, some of the attractions that are really famous are: The Great Church, The Church of Our Lady, Old town, Bahnhofstrasse and St. Peter Church. The Great Church was made in the 12th-century and the cathedral bear a great significance in terms of both historical and architectural heritage. The two famous towers serve as perhaps the most famous landmarks representing Zurich of the modern times. They are the most recognizable twin towers in the city.
Old Town that is Altstadt, is a very ancient hub of Zurich which is geared up with a huge variety of small stores and restaurants, religious monuments and is really popular as a place which features the famous cobblestone streets of all times.
Church of Our Lady was built in the 13th century. This Gothic Cathedral has now got very famous because of the latest addition of stained-glass windows that were added in the 1970s, with the contribution of well-known designer Marc Chagall.
Bahnhofstrasse is a very popular street for the pedestrians. It provides an amazing shopping experience for all kinds of people as well is home to so many important Banks. You can purchase expensive mementos and souvenirs for your loved ones that they may cherish throughout their lives.
St. Peter is one of the most famous and renowned Churches present in the city. It is very popular for having the largest clock face in the whole continent. However, there are lots of other attractions like the Zoological Garden, Museum of Art and Opera House that surely deserve a visit.
Zurich is nicknamed as the "City with the Best Quality of Life”. It surely means that it offers the best lifestyle that one can ever ask for. Right? It is surely Switzerland's largest hub as far as the commercial, financial and cultural aspect is concerned.
So if you really want to have a vacation of your lifetime, then I would suggest that you should not go that far because Zurich is just a few rides away from where you are standing right now! You don't trust me? Make a move and you will understand my point really well... |
