The Alagadi Turtle Beach lies about 10 miles from Kyrenia. This is a sandy beach with rocky sea floor. The water is shallow up to a distance. You can also see a small island there. The facilities such as sun beds, chairs are limited but it's an another amazing beach in Cyprus. Swimming in the shallow sea is a fun there. On this beach the green and loggerhead turtles come and lay their eggs in the summer. During the egg-laying season the beach is closed off to tourists and is marked out with red painted skates. Escape Beach
The Escape beach is located in the westwards off Kyrenia. This is one of the most favorite beaches for tourists. It is well maintained and is landscaped with flowers, grass and fauna. This is the spot where the Turkish troops landed during the peace operation in 1974. Therefore, the place is also known as Yavuz Cikarma Plaji. All you need is to pay 10 YTL to get entry to this beautiful beach. Jet skiing, banana ride, canoes, pedal boats or scuba diving are some of the water sports available there. The sandy beach is also equipped with volleyball area, restaurant and bar. There you can enjoy the music by DJs in open air in summer.
Protaras Beach
This is the most popular beach in the Protaras municipality. This long beach offers you with a variety of water sports and it is studded with umbrellas. You can also see lots of nice spots along with the beach that can be reached by access roads from the main Protaras high street inland. The beach is famous for its water sports facilities.
Ladies' Mile Beach
The Ladies' Mile beach is located at a distance of about three miles to the west of the old town of Limassol. The beach stretches for 5 miles with clear and calm water. Its landscape comprises of flat dustiness of the salt lake on the right and its far end is closed off by barbed wire. The water here is shallow and very clear, so it's safe for kids. There are a number of water sports available on the beach.
Curium Beach
Curium lies at a distance of about 10 miles to the west of the town of Limassol. This is one of the most appealing and beautiful beaches in Cyprus. The ancient Roman Curium Amphitheater, which has been rebuilt is located just above the Curium beach. And this is an additional attraction to the beach.While the sea is very rough and wild, the beaches are gentle and its great to have fun. This beach is also a popular sailing spot and it gets overcrowded with swimmers. A variety of water sports are available there.
Pissouri Beach
This sandy beach is located in the beautiful village of Pissouri. Its water is clean, warm and it's safe to swim there. Water sports are available on the beach and there is also a small diving school for those who would like to learn scuba diving. There are also many taverns along the beach which offer delicious Cypriot delicacies.
Governor's Beach
The Governor's beach is located between Larnaca and Limassol. It offers a white rock area for those who like fishing, snorkeling and boating. This sandy beach with shallow water is ideal for romantic couples as well as families with children. You can also take a nice walk on the hill side near by the beach or on the beach watching a beautiful sunrise. You have many options to enjoy lunch and dinner as there are a number of restaurants. Nissi Beach
Nissi beach is located in the calm Nissi Bay. This is a very popular and lively beach. The wonderful long stretch of beach sheltered by Nissi Island. The fine white sands and calm clear water make this beach a must-see in Cyprus. It offers a great variety of water sports, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Fig Tree Bay Beach
The Fig Tree Bay beach is the most popular within Protaras Beach. The British christened it "Fig Tree Bay" and the name was given after the single fig tree that stands guard back from the beach and is claimed to have been brought from the east in the 17 th century.
