Israel is a county that is full of extremes. This statement is supported as we look at the officials of the inbound tourism tendencies of the country. When the ambiance in the Middle East becomes peaceful, visitors from all over the world are seen in the streets of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Haifa. However, during tensed situations, the whole tourism industry comes at stake.

It is a fact that, Israel has plenty of things to offer from a tourist point of view: The first thing is that as Israel is The Holy land, it forms an aspiration for a lot of visitors to come and explore the holy places, that are mostly located in Jerusalem as well as up in the north ( specially for Christians) around the Sea of Galilee.

It is also known that Israel is extremely popular for its amazing climate, sandy beaches as well as those sites that are not at all connected to mysticism…. Some people think that Israel is the New York of the Middle East.

That is why, it is also true that even after that after 60 years of existence, we all feel that Israel is a great place to have a wonderful vacation, regardless to all the believes…yes, even if we add your visit  to Jerusalem, but you can again come here, enjoy the beaches all the day, have mouthwatering meals in Eilat's restaurants... I would also like to add on one more thing that The Israeli currency, the Shekel, is comparatively less than the Euro, Pound or US Dollars. So,  does it not make a cheap deal to visit the place?
 
Israel is 60 years old... A wonderful tourist destination!

If we have a look at the statistics: we will get to know that there is a wide inconsistency in Israel's tourism industry... but the fact is that a lot of tourists come to Israel along the years.

It is a fact that, the year 2008, which was recorded as Israel's 60th anniversary, proved to be the best year ever. It is a fact that  until May, around 1.2 million tourists have visited Israel. The statistics say that this forms a dramatic increase of 47%, if the statistics are compared with the last year.

May was responsible to set a new record in itself – 300,000 people came to visit Israel. This number was almost 5% more than May 2000. So 2008 is considered to be the best year for incoming tourism for the country.

It is the sole reason as to why ministry of Tourism is now making the goals towards the year 2009 . the aim is to bring more than 3.3 million tourists in the country. The motto is to have a lot of flights, a lot of hotels, an excellent infrastructure development as well a lot of tourists.

Ways to come:

It is interesting to see that the statistics are reflecting one more tendency – a lot of visitors are coming in new ways to Israel. For example, a lot of visitors are coming to Israel via a Cruz in the Mediterranean a lot of Fashion TV Yachts that are anchoring at Eilat….

However, I would recommend that flying is still the best deal. You can fly to Israel from almost any place directly to Tel Aviv and even to Eilat. Hope to see you in Israel! Bon Voyage!
